The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Hablemos de: Las Peores Parejas de Grey’s Anatomy (Top 5)

This couple was the last option to match the singles, but what an uncomfortable couple to see, starting with the fact that in one way or another they were stepbrothers, even though they were not by blood or upbringing, it seemed very shady to me to see, besides that Maggie is a very unbearable character, I really feel that she is the most unnecessary thing in the series, it was the desire to give Meredith another “sister” but in the worst way, she was not at all a Lexi in her life, other than the The story that Elis left her with the letter is difficult to believe, because we know that that character was not like that... but if we continue with the couples, Maggie does not fit with any character because she is very closed to her, for her everything was lowering herself, everything was leaving her Don, they had nothing in common and much less connection, everything was wrong from the beginning in this relationship.

Damsel (Review)

The story as such seems very good to me, sincerely the sacrifices are an attraction in any fantasy film I like, included with the medieval setting make it look like a promising film however in terms of special effects I felt it very stilted and not so real, something that disenchanted me but nevertheless the story can tell itself.

Little Women (2019): a classic for fall | un clásico para el otoño

One of the geniuses of this version by Greta Gerwig, in addition to impeccable direction, was the fact that she narrated the film in non-linear time. That is, instead of telling us about the girls' adolescence and then their youth in the natural order of events, the events from before, when they were younger, constantly alternate with those from the present, when they are adults. This forces the viewer to remain attentive and be curious about that in-between and the causes that led to those consequences.

Reacher (Season 2) - TV Series Review

This second season premiered last December and ended in January of this year, I found it to be better than the previous one, the story flows in a good and appropriate use of comedy as well as action; both elements are very important for the development of the story and the characters because although Reacher is the main character, that does not prevent those who accompany him have moments of prominence, influencing the two main features described above. These eight episodes that make up the season feel more natural, have a fast pace, but not at all feels like a rushed story, I can say that there is no filler episodes and uses very well the assumption or suspicion necessary to maintain some intrigue in the investigation although it is very clear who are the villains and of course, who are the good guys.

The Manifest: Crucial Revelations and Unravelings | Seasons 2 - 3

It seems like one enigma after another but that reveals to the passengers on the day of their death, so from then on they only think about how to survive it. This is where Zeke's character comes in, as he is an apparent sign of the possible solution. The only thing I don't like is how they use biblical verses, because they misinterpret them all, and added to that they make a kind of religious syncretism where "everything is true" and everything is related or connected, pantheism. But anyway, this is not a religious scrutiny, but a science fiction film and in that sense they have made a work worth seeing because the production executed a work of audiovisual quality, an entertaining story that has a lot to offer. Now continuing with the plot the calls are expanded, and now it is not only the Stone family who has them, although they are the protagonists, but as I indicated above there are new characters, even evil ones who have their calls.

In Memorial: Akira Toriyama

Akira Toriyama did give us emotions; imagine recreating a whole universe as rich as Dragon Balls: on the one hand, there is the idea of the dragon spheres, which grant wishes to those who collect them. On the other side, there are the rivals that surround those spheres. Best of all, the context that ends up giving life to the whole plot is Goku's tragic past. His stay on planet Earth, made him kind and very innocent, something that on his home planet I doubt he would achieve. All of us who ever watched this anime know how much it meant to the history of entertainment. Akira was a mastermind who knew how to show it.

DEPREDADOR 1987: ¿Eres el cazador o la presa?

If there is something that stands out in the Predator movie, it is its special effects that marked an era. Predator was a pioneer in the use of special effects at the time. The Predator's design, created by Stan Winston, was a mixture of animatronics and visual effects that turned it into a terrifying and realistic creature. The action scenes, with explosions, gunfire and death traps, were also very well done and contributed to the tension and suspense of the film.

La sociedad de la nieve (2023) | Mi opinión de esta película basada en hechos reales🎥

It is a pity that it did not win an Oscar despite being nominated. The movie from my point of view had an impeccable acting, the audiovisual effects were incredible, to bring to the big screen how audacious the human being can be to survive such inhospitable situations as the ones that happened at that moment, and to reaffirm even more that the human being is capable of anything to survive and see his loved ones again

MOVIE REVIEW: “The Whole Truth” (2016)

The problem is not exactly the perfect conclusion of the explanations, but how all of this reaches those on the other side of the screen. There is no effort to create a more elaborate thriller, with more challenging layers. There are only the contradictions of the witnesses involved within a crossed line that cannot hide its predictability. If you pay a little more attention to the events, you will unravel the main part of the mystery before the movie explains it to you, and I think that this break in the “surprise factor” nullifies much of the creative potential of this narrative.
