Korean cinema has fascinated me the way stories are told are different from American ones, in burning by Lee Chang-dong we are going to live a love triangle but this is not a typical American story where the poor man stays with the girl Because what matters are the feelings, here it is about living a reality despite the film being somewhat fantastic, when you feel that it is a love film of a love triangle, it becomes a psychological thriller in a cat and cat hunt mouse, in a mystery, that catches your attention and after watching this movie you will not be able to forget it easily.
El cine koreano me tiene fascinado la manera en como se cuentan las historias son distintas a las americanas , en burning de Lee Chang-dong vamos a vivir un triangulo amoroso pero esto no es una típica historia americana en donde el pobre se queda con la chica porque lo que importa son los sentimientos , aquí se trata de vivir una realidad a pesar de ser la película algo fantástico , cuando sientes que es una película de amor de un triangulo amoroso, se convierte en un thriller psicológico en una cacería del gato y el ratón, en un misterio , que capta tu atención y después de ver esta película no podrás olvidarla fácilmente.
Burning begins with the reunion of Lee and Shin, they both have mediocre jobs, he is a delivery man and she is a store clerk, they meet and start talking and leaving, the seductive spirit of Shin who is a woman who does not waste time, captures and seduces Lee who can't believe his luck and so far everything seems like a boring romantic movie, so Shin goes on a trip and asks Lee to take care of his cat, when Shin returns he arrives on a trip with a rich boyfriend Ben who lives in the prestigious Gagnam neighborhood of Korea, so Lee is displaced.
Burning empieza con el reencuentro de Lee y Shin , ambos tienen trabajos mediocres el es repartidor y ella es vendedora de una tienda , se encuentran empiezan ha hablar y salir , el espíritu seductor de Shin que es una mujer que no pierde tiempo , captura y seduce a Lee quien no puede creer su suerte y hasta ahí todo bien parece una película romántica aburrida , entonces Shin se va de viaje y le pide el favor a Lee que le cuide su gato , cuando vuelve Shin llega de viaje con un novio rico Ben que vive en el prestigioso barrio Gagnam de Korea , así que Lee queda desplazado.

Así que piensas que vas a ver un triangulo amoroso un Lee que ama con locura a Shin pero no puede tenerla porque no puede competir con Ben , pero por razones del destino ben los invita a su lujoso apartamento y a algunas fiestas en sitios nocturnos , Shin ve a Lee como un amigo y siempre trata de complacer a Ben , hasta este momento la película es aburrida estuve apunto de dormirme , pero un Dia Ben y Shin pasan por el pueblo donde vive Lee y lo visitan , este los recibe y pasan una tarde agradable Shin se duerme y Ben le cuenta a Lee sobre su pasatiempo , resulta que le gusta incendiar invernaderos y que ya pronto es tiempo de incendiar uno , que por eso estaba en su pueblo , estaba explorando.
This is where the film gets interesting despite already taking an hour of footage and showing us the whole love triangle thing, here we can do a double reading of the film and it is what artistically surprised me about the film, there are already movies of This guy, but with the mastery that this does, I have not seen any, it turns out that Shin disappears from Lee's life, he for some reason decides to look for her but she is neither at home, nor at work, nor does she answer his calls , This may be due to 2 reasons we can think that we are facing a crime or we can think that everything is a hallucination of our protagonist Lee who is going through a creative process, you can see this movie as he reads trying to solve a mystery of a murder or that Lee is writing a story, to leave his life of poverty behind because he understands that if he continues in a mediocre job he can never have what he wants Shin to be.
Aquí es donde la película se pone interesante a pesar de ya llevar una hora de metraje y mostrarnos todo el asunto del triángulo amoroso , aquí podemos hacer una doble lectura de la película y es lo que artísticamente me sorprendió de la película , ya hay películas de este tipo pero con la maestría que esta lo hace yo no e visto ninguna , resulta que Shin desaparece de la vida de Lee , este por alguna razón decide buscarla pero ella no esta ni en su casa , ni en su trabajo , ni contesta sus llamadas, esto puede deberse a 2 razones podemos pensar que estamos ante un crimen o podemos pensar que todo es alucinación de nuestro protagonista Lee quien esta pasando por un proceso creativo , puedes ver esta película como que lee trata de resolver un misterio el de un asesinato o que Lee esta escribiendo una historia , para dejar atrás su vida de pobreza pues entiende que si sigue en un trabajo mediocre nunca podrá tener lo que desea que es a Shin. .
I must say that all the research part by Lee is superb is, interesting is captivating, how he chases Ben and how he hides a secret behind his charisma, the film does it very well, while also giving you that reading in the that you are facing a possible fiction in the face of facts that the protagonist imagines to put together his novel, then he has to go further he pursues a ben who is innocent because Shin only left because he has always been a free soul and then there is no crime, Any reading you give to the film is totally valid, I invite you to see it and draw your own conclusion.
Debo decir que toda la parte de investigación por parte de lee es soberbia es , interesante es atrapante , como persigue a ben y como este esconde un secreto detrás de su carisma , la película lo hace muy bien , mientras también te da esa lectura en la que estas ante una posible ficción ante hechos que se imagina el protagonista para armar su novela , entonces el tiene que ir más allá persigue a un ben que es inocente pues Shin solo se fue porque siempre a sido un alma libre y entonces no hay crimen , cualquier lectura que le des a la película es totalmente validad , te invito a verla y sacar tu propia conclusión.
