Since being on Hive, it's done nothing but depression. The price pumped from exchange listings, and has just continued for 8 months on a downward dump. With no end in sight, or radical changes to the chain. While other coins like TRX are up 200% this year.
The split from Steem and rejection of Tron was bad news for a lot of investors. It has been relected in the current price.
Not seeing Hive price rise with BTC or alt coins has been depressing.
I'm not excited about the funded Hive proposals or planned hardforks. The community still appears divided on how to move forward.
TRX is an interesting blockchain. I'm not personally invested, but they are holding near the top well. This means they are appealing to investors and doing somethings right, maybe because thet have a strong leader?
Yeah, unfortunately my confidence from an investment point of view has hit rock bottom. So I'll just earn crypto :)
More than anything, we need popular quality content creators to attract consumers, and to get those, we need income assurances.
I'm not sure how me holding 5000HP or even 50000HP will help make that happen. I'll keep at least 1000 for now.
It seems those in power are still focused on developing something to attract content creators and/or consumers by some other means. I don't see anything at the moment which will likely accomplish this (am I missing something?), so wait and see.

More recently I'm powering down 70% of the remaining Hive (I'll stop around 1k), and I'm buying XRP and a few de-fi stuff I don't want to talk about (Not gonna shill randoms). It's been working out great.
You were always one of the people I was happy to see on this blockchain. Things are different today than three years ago. I don't feel the hype like I did then. I'm still teaching and enjoy it. I wouldn't have it any other way. I made some of the same moves that you did when Steem and Hive split. Honestly I have no guarantee about any of my finances and honestly anyone on this planet who says they are set financially will probably lose it all. I'm glad just to be alive.
I'm going to slowly ease back into posting a little more often, no promises though. I still look at hive daily and try to comment.
Some of my other outside stuff is winding down a little.
Shame I have low hive power, but some part of thinks it's for the best. I was never much of a curator.
Finances are definitely not secure. Very few people are crypto millionaires. Greed wiped out tons of people. Now they are into tsla.
On that note, I'm not sure how much I like this more towards leo finance that happened while I'm on break. It seems like Hive is becoming even more niche.
I'm glad to be alive. But that's not all. I have a healthy family and reasonable financial security (job, diversified savings, family with job and savings, global connections).
My kimchi crop was soso this year. We had kimjang 10 days ago. We had to buy extra radishes and cabbages unfortunately because of the smaller size.
Nothing never really did make sense. I feel mostly apathetic to blockchain blogs, social media, video sharing sites, etc... and maybe that is right. As far as Leo Finance I don't want to spend my time moving there. But maybe one day I'll be posting there too. Just too many apps and like you I have a job to do and a family and it is not here on the blog or block chain. If it is not fun then I'm out.

I'm going to settle around 1000HP. think if 100,000 people had 1000 HP, we would start seeing some good things happen.
