Yeah, it's frustrating how upvotes don't correlate well to my posts quality... Sometimes it makes me want to write random posts of 300 jumbled words just to see if they'll get upvoted. Luckily, I overcame the temptation so far!

It's easy to get frustrated but over time as you build your brand and you network the votes increase. As long as you are writing interesting content.
Now with ad revenue it can happen straight away if you can bring in external views.
