The conflict escalates when Rachel encounters the man in his gray pickup truck while stuck in traffic. Irritated by his non-movement at a traffic signal, she honks and drives around him, inadvertently igniting the man's deep-seated rage. Their interaction rapidly escalates, as he menaces her and threatens her with a terrible outcome for her poor judgment. This encounter marks the beginning of Rachel's horror-filled ordeal, as she becomes the target of the man’s escalating aggression.
