With the help of Ed, William sedates his family's consciousness within the cloning pods to buy time, ultimately leading him to devise a plan where he can imprint his wife and children into their cloned bodies. As tensions build, William’s moral compass increasingly falters, compromising his relationships and sanity.

The resurrection process leads to mixed results. Although William successfully brings back Mona and his children, the clone family begins to feel strange, leading to hints and flashes of memories of their previous life, particularly of their deceased sister, Zoey.
