Part 2/8:
The story introduces us to Terrence Settman, a grandfather who is faced with the harsh reality of a world where sibling bonds must be hidden. Upon the unexpected birth of seven granddaughters, he constructs a plan to ensure their survival by raising them in secrecy. Naming them after the days of the week, he teaches them to adopt a single identity—Karen Settman—for their public lives, with each sister assigned a specific day to emerge from their hidden abode. This regime allows them to exist as a collective, although it stifles their individual identities.
