Part 2/7:
As the group arrives at the large cabin owned by Strickland and his wife Sherry, they are greeted with warmth and hospitality. The beautiful surroundings offer a stark contrast to the eerie tales that begin to surface about the woods and the peculiar inhabitants said to dwell there. Fleet, one of the friends, recalls his disturbing encounters with "natives" living in the woods, adding an unsettling layer to their seemingly innocent retreat.
The conversation shifts as they mention their neighbor's strange behavior and the troubles they’ve heard about. Fleet's drunken state exacerbates the tension; he exhibits recklessness and indifference to the concerns of others, worrying his companions about his safety and judgment.
