Although this particular reunion was a notable occasion, it was not their first collaboration since their Wicked days. Last year, both Chenoweth and Menzel made surprise appearances in the film adaptation of Wicked, where newly cast stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda took the spotlight. Their cameo in the song "One Short Day" brought a collective joy to fans and served to further cement their legacy within the Wicked franchise.
