Casas de apostas reportaram ao Governo Federal e à CBF um volume incomum de apostas para que Ênio recebesse um cartão amarelo na partida contra o Vitória, na primeira rodada, o que de fato ocorreu (veja no vídeo abaixo).
No primeiro momento, vazou a informação de que Ênio não seria relacionado para enfrentar o Botafogo em razão de uma negociação com outro clube. Porém, Fábio Matias explicou que ele ficou de fora por causa da suspeita de manipulação. E que a situação não deve mudar enquanto a investigação não for concluída.
– Recebemos a informação na quinta-feira à noite, esse alerta em relação ao que aconteceu, juntamente com a direção. Isso foi através do presidente do clube, fizemos uma reunião para decidir que ele estava fora desse jogo aqui até que se conclua a situação. Óbvio que o atleta vinha tendo um bom desempenho, mas dentro do processo nosso temos outros – afirmou o comandante.
– No primeiro momento, avisamos os líderes da equipe, na sexta-feira de manhã, que ele não viajaria. E não dei a justificativa do porquê. A partir do momento que a notícia saiu, a gente fez a comunicação aos atletas ontem à noite. O presidente, que está aqui acompanhando nós, que fez a comunicação. O atleta estava fora até que se resolva a situação. Isso agora é assunto da direção mais a CBF, que tem feito esse procedimento investigativo – acrescentou.
Segundo apurou o ge, ao menos uma casa apontou que as apostas de que o atleta receberia uma advertência na partida superaram 10% do total apostado no jogo – espera-se que apostas do tipo não sejam maiores do que 1% do total, e que qualquer coisa acima dos 3% já é tido como suspeito.
Seis operadoras diferentes sinalizaram alertas com relação ao lance, até agora. Um relatório produzido pela Ibia (Associação Internacional de Integridade em Apostas Esportivas), a que o ge teve acesso, afirma a suspeita relacionada ao cartão de Ênio.
