Following a series of tests conducted with the U.S. Army's interest, Hutchison's findings were met with skepticism from some quarters. During an extensive test period in 1983, many unusual developments occurred, but, peculiarly, much of the evidence was reportedly lost or dismissed as inconclusive following an evaluation by a Los Alamos investigator.
Despite official reports putting Hutchison's results aside, rumors circulated that the U.S. military continued to explore his findings. Speculations arose that Hutchison's anti-gravity effects might have found a new residence within the hidden recesses of military projects like those housed at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, famous for developing revolutionary aerospace technologies.
