Interestingly, artificial intelligence (AI) was heralded as a technological panacea for enhancing the recruitment process by streamlining candidate-employer matching. However, AI has not yet fulfilled its promise in the recruitment arena. Despite advanced algorithmic capabilities that could ideally analyze profiles and job requirements more accurately, many employers remain stuck in their old ways of job hiring. This stagnation perpetuates a long, painful process wherein essential requirements such as a university degree continue to hold undue weight, even though it doesn't correlate with job performance.
