Part 2/8:
Barry Gibb was born on September 1, 1946, in Douglas, Isle of Man. He was raised in a musically inclined family; his father was a drummer, which kindled Barry's passion for music from a young age. Despite experiencing a traumatic childhood incident involving severe burns, Barry's upbringing was filled with love and support. The Gibb family moved several times throughout Barry's formative years but remained close-knit as he developed his musical career.
At 11, Barry and his brothers formed a skiffle band called the Rattlesnakes, a pivotal moment that ignited their collective aspiration for a career in music. Their public performance in 1957 marked the beginning of a lifelong pursuit in the music industry, culminating in the iconic Bee Gees formation that would later redefine pop music.
