A Fleeting Return and Untimely Death
Despite hitting rock bottom, Andy sought treatment in 1985 and managed to regain some stability in his life. In 1988, he expressed intentions to reclaim his musical career, planning to work on new recordings with the Bee Gees. Just as things began to look promising, fate intervened. At the age of 30, Andy was hospitalized with chest pain, and tragically passed away from myocarditis, a heart condition likely exacerbated by years of substance abuse.
