Before the holiday storms arrive, a dense fog advisory has been issued, set to expire at 11 a.m. on Friday. This fog extends from Reading to the Central Valley and down to Bakersfield, significantly reducing visibility — at times, down to less than a quarter mile. Motorists are advised to remain cautious during the morning commute, especially in rural areas, where visibility could drop to about a third of a mile.
On Friday, travelers can expect similar fog conditions throughout the day. Although the fog may begin to lift around lunchtime, residual effects are likely to persist into the afternoon, creating a continuation of cloud-like conditions overhead.
