Part 2/10:
Harris’s life story begins with tragedy. Born into a difficult childhood, he was sexually assaulted at age seven, an event that fostered anger and aggression. Growing up without his father and moving frequently, Harris lived a life riddled with turmoil. His early struggles manifested in criminal behavior and drug abuse, creating a cycle of self-destruction and emotional pain.
In 1981, Harris was falsely accused of a shocking murder in Delaware. At the time, he was in prison on unrelated charges, but desperate to escape, he fabricated a story that ultimately implicated him. The injustice grew as police and prosecutors exploited his desperation, leading to a wrongful conviction. His innocence was obscured by lies, fabricated evidence, and a corrupt system.
