The Dangers of Dehumanization and Power
Dehumanizing opponents—be they in war or politics—leads to historical oblivion for tyrants. The Mongols, Nazis, and Assyrians all suffered the consequences when their policies lacked empathy, reducing their enemies to mere objects rather than individuals. Moral clarity does not preclude strength or the necessity of harsh measures but insists on recognizing the intrinsic human dignity of others.
