The Last Men and Society’s Future
Philosopher Oswald Spengler’s notion of “The Last Men” describes a civilization exhausted by nihilism and complacency—favoring comfort over greatness, breeding stagnation. Such societies, consumed by envy and despair, risk near-extinction, unable to muster the vitality to sustain future generations.
