Gratitude for society’s basic achievements—prosperity, health, liberty—is essential. Excessive dissatisfaction breeds nihilism, weakening societal cohesion, and fueling destructive social comparison.
- The world is dead or alive
Viewing the world as an interactive, living system rather than a mechanistic, dead matter reignites curiosity and engagement. Humanity must actively participate with the universe, embracing its wonder.
