Part 2/14:
Hamas, an Islamist extremist group rooted in the Muslim Brotherhood network, has entrenched itself within Gaza's political landscape. Removing Hamas completely from Gaza’s governance entails a significant challenge because it involves dismantling longstanding ties and influence. Furthermore, the ideological nature of Hamas persistently resists exclusion, given its shapeshifting tactics and deep-rooted ideological commitments. As such, effectively guaranteeing that Islamist extremist ideology does not infiltrate Palestinian governance is nearly impossible in the current geopolitical environment.
