Michael B Jordan is in talks to play Ricardo Tubbs in Joseph Kosinskis Miami Vice remake coming August 2027 from Universal, fresh off playing dual roles in Sinners Jordan is taking on the straight laced detective originally played by Philip Michael Thomas in the 80s show and Jamie Foxx in Michael Manns 2006 version, the deal is not done yet but the studio worked out filming dates so Jordan can also do The Thomas Crown Affair which he stars in and directs, Kosinski coming off Top Gun Maverick directing a Miami Vice movie with Jordan sounds like it could actually be good unlike most remakes, Tubbs was always the more serious half of the detective duo so Jordan fits perfect for that role.
