Part 5/13:
Determined to reclaim his position and expose corruption, Hoffa was warned by mob allies to stay in line. His refusal to back down led to mounting tensions. On July 30, 1975, Hoffa agreed to meet reputed mob enforcers Anthony "Tony Jack" Jacalone and Anthony "Tony Pro" Provenzano at the Machis Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, with the hope of negotiating his return to power.
However, Hoffa never arrived back from that meeting. He was last seen waiting in the parking lot, a call to his wife confirming he was stood up being his final known contact. Theories quickly proliferated—mob hit, kidnapping, or even disappearance into witness protection—but remarkably, no body was ever recovered, and no definitive proof emerged.
