Part 6/13:
Over five decades, countless theories emerged about Hoffa's fate, many involving elaborate schemes of disposal ranging from incineration to burial beneath stadiums or in landfill sites. Prominent among these was the belief that his remains were buried under Giant Stadium in New Jersey—a rumor that persisted until the stadium's demolition in 2010 yielded no remains.
Other theories suggested Hoffa was dumped into a Detroit-area landfill, dissolved in acid, or fed into industrial meat grinders. Investigators searched these sites repeatedly, only to find nothing concrete. The absence of physical evidence, combined with the lucrative silence of witnesses—many of whom are long dead—made closure impossible.
