Remarkably, these incentives are designed with restrictions: the rebate applies only to vehicles with an MSRP under CAD 55,000. However, higher trims—up to a maximum of CAD 65,000 MSRP—are still eligible for incentives. This creates a strategic situation where Tesla could easily adjust their offerings to maximize demand. In the past, Tesla sold Model 3 Standard Range versions with an MSRP of carefully calibrated CAD 44,999 to qualify for the rebate.
