Part 2/8:
The series’ debut season initially showed promise. While not perfectly faithful to Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, it still managed to entertain and maintain a level of engagement, with solid performances and intriguing storytelling. Unfortunately, subsequent seasons rapidly deteriorated. Season two experienced a noticeable dip in quality, but it was the third and fourth seasons that truly wrecked the reputation of the show.
Season 4, the latest installment, was marketed as more faithful to the source material and aimed at satisfying dedicated fans. However, this turned out to be a blatant lie. Instead of genuine fidelity, the season suffered from poor script choices, questionable casting decisions, and narrative choices that felt disconnected from the beloved universe.
