Turning Point and Tactical Adjustments
The Spurs gained control late in the third, extending their lead by 15. In response, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra deployed the famed Miami Heat 2-3 zone, a strategic move season-long. Bam extended out to pressure Wemby at the elbows, while other defenders effectively cut off passing lanes. This adjustment momentarily slowed the Spurs’ offense, leading to the depletion of their early momentum and bringing the game back to a close contest.
