Part 9/13:
The Russian 9M729 missile's capabilities pose a significant threat to Ukrainian infrastructure and military assets. Its potential to carry nuclear warheads and its extensive range—possibly up to 2,500 km—make it comparable to the U.S. Tomahawk, but with a more limited payload size and different operational qualities.
Since Russia’s missile strikes have been increasing in frequency and intensity, Ukraine’s acquisition of Tomahawks could shift the tactical balance. The U.S.- supplied Tomahawks allow Ukraine to mount deep, precise strikes against Russian military facilities, strategic infrastructure like fuel depots, and logistical hubs such as railway junctions.
