The Neoliner Origin features the capacity to carry up to 5,300 tons of cargo and cruises at a commercial speed of 11 knots. It is designed for regular monthly routes between Europe and North America, thereby integrating sustainable practices into international trade logistics.
The vessel's design was entrusted to the French naval engineering firm Mor. CEO Vincent Sean explained that creating a viable balance between economic feasibility and environmental innovation posed a considerable challenge. The team revisited historical wind propulsion technologies, understanding why they had faded in favor of fossil fuels, and reimagined the architecture with modern constraints such as new regulations and smaller crew requirements.
