Looking ahead, the design vision for Maker’s production model involves reaching nearly three times this initial speed, a significant leap forward for commercially viable autonomous aircraft. To achieve greater efficiency, the team is experimenting with tilting the rotors fully forward. This adjustment aims to allow the rotors to generate lift from high-speed airflow across Maker’s wings—a method known as lift-from-flow—highlighting a move towards more energy-efficient flight modes compared to traditional hovering.
