Mercedes Bryce Morgan knows how to make a movie feel trashy and fun without being stupid about it, she gives you real characters even when they do dumb things and builds tension in ways that keeps you locked in even during slower parts of the movie 🎥 Movie was sold as sex and violence but honestly lacks the sex part, more like erotic teasing and thats about it which was disappointing, middle might drag a bit for some people but I think it builds everything just right and the payoff makes it worth sitting through every minute, giving this a solid 7 out of 10 and might be a top 10 for the year honestly, worth checking out 😊
Gore gets brutal real quick and the movie does not hold back at all with the violence, people getting faces cut off and blood everywhere and its the kind of stuff that makes you go oh damn they really went there with it, final fight between the couples is intense as hell and even though Diego and Sage seemed weak most of the time they fight back hard and take these psychos down in satisfying ways 💍 Ending is dark but perfect because after all the chaos Diego proposes to Sage with his grandmothers ring that he got back by literally cutting off Cin fingers, they are just laughing covered in blood like they survived something that brought them closer together, its messed up but totally works
Third act is where this movie goes absolutely insane and the violence kicks in hard as hell, Diego and Sage discover Will and Cin actually own the house and have been doing this serial killer game with other couples for a while now 🔪 They find a murder room with newspaper clippings about missing people and files on all their previous victims witch is absolutely crazy, twist is Will and Cin are brother and sister who killed their parents when they found out about their relationship, now they hunt couples because they think everyone else relationships are fake and full of lies, once the truth drops it becomes full survival horror with chainsaws and axes and blood everywhere 💀
Setup is pretty straightforward when you break it down, Sage and Diego arrive at this lakehouse for a getaway but they got relationship issues brewing under the surface, Diego quit teaching to write a book full time witch is never smart unless you already published something 😅 Then Will and Cin show up and these two are way too friendly from the start, suggesting they all hang out and party together and play games, you get this feeling something is off but cannot pin it down yet, they keep crossing boundaries in small ways that make everyone uncomfortable but not enough to bail or make a scene, whole middle section keeps you guessing if they are just swingers or something way darker going on

Bone Lake just dropped and this thing caught me off guard in the best way possible, sounds dumb as hell when you try explaining it to somebody but works way better than it should 🏠 Couple goes to an Airbnb and another couple shows up claiming they booked the same place, instead of leaving they all decide to share the mansion like adults and things get weird real fast, Mercedes Bryce Morgan directed this and she nails the whole keeping up appearances vibe when everything is falling apart around everyone, cast includes Alex Roe, Maddie Hasson, Marco Pigossi and Andra Nechita and they all make their characters feel legit even when shit gets crazy, movie mixes thriller and horror perfectly 🎬

Mercedes Bryce Morgan knows how to make a movie feel trashy and fun without being stupid about it, she gives you real characters even when they do dumb things and builds tension in ways that keeps you locked in even during slower parts of the movie 🎥 Movie was sold as sex and violence but honestly lacks the sex part, more like erotic teasing and thats about it which was disappointing, middle might drag a bit for some people but I think it builds everything just right and the payoff makes it worth sitting through every minute, giving this a solid 7 out of 10 and might be a top 10 for the year honestly, worth checking out 😊

Gore gets brutal real quick and the movie does not hold back at all with the violence, people getting faces cut off and blood everywhere and its the kind of stuff that makes you go oh damn they really went there with it, final fight between the couples is intense as hell and even though Diego and Sage seemed weak most of the time they fight back hard and take these psychos down in satisfying ways 💍 Ending is dark but perfect because after all the chaos Diego proposes to Sage with his grandmothers ring that he got back by literally cutting off Cin fingers, they are just laughing covered in blood like they survived something that brought them closer together, its messed up but totally works

Third act is where this movie goes absolutely insane and the violence kicks in hard as hell, Diego and Sage discover Will and Cin actually own the house and have been doing this serial killer game with other couples for a while now 🔪 They find a murder room with newspaper clippings about missing people and files on all their previous victims witch is absolutely crazy, twist is Will and Cin are brother and sister who killed their parents when they found out about their relationship, now they hunt couples because they think everyone else relationships are fake and full of lies, once the truth drops it becomes full survival horror with chainsaws and axes and blood everywhere 💀

Setup is pretty straightforward when you break it down, Sage and Diego arrive at this lakehouse for a getaway but they got relationship issues brewing under the surface, Diego quit teaching to write a book full time witch is never smart unless you already published something 😅 Then Will and Cin show up and these two are way too friendly from the start, suggesting they all hang out and party together and play games, you get this feeling something is off but cannot pin it down yet, they keep crossing boundaries in small ways that make everyone uncomfortable but not enough to bail or make a scene, whole middle section keeps you guessing if they are just swingers or something way darker going on
