Part 2/11:
Highlighting the Series' Unprecedented Moments
What set this World Series apart were the numerous "firsts" and extraordinary moments never before seen in the history of postseason play. One of the most remarkable was Game 3, an 18-inning marathon, considered one of the greatest games ever. Game 6 featured an unusual ending involving a three-pitch sequence by Tyler Glasnow—a non-force situation where Glasnow impressively survived with no runs, thanks to a rare 74-double play, the first of its kind in postseason history. These incredible instances directly contributed to the epic nature of the series.
