Part 13/14:
A Call for Ethical Reckoning
The latest season of The Valley and other Bravo productions serve as stark reminders that entertainment should not come at the expense of women’s safety and dignity. Casting individuals with histories of violence without proper vetting—or allowing ongoing abuse to be filmed and broadcast—is not only irresponsible but morally reprehensible.
As viewers, industry insiders, and advocates, it is imperative to demand change: stricter background checks, immediate engagement with authorities when abuse is suspected, and a commitment to casting choices grounded in safety and integrity. If the industry continues to turn a blind eye, it risks normalizing and perpetuating a cycle of violence, trauma, and silent suffering.
