Many top-tier pitchers and position players are choosing to accept qualifying offers and stay with their current teams, rather than testing the open market. Standouts like Shoto Ianaga (Cubs) and Brandon Woodruff (Brewers) opted to re-sign rather than risk free agency—even after having excellent seasons. Ianaga, despite some regressions, still posted a 3.7 ERA in 144 innings. Woodruff remains a dominant force, with a career ERA below 3.0 and numerous seasons of excellence.
