Part 3/9:
Strangely enough, despite its reception, some aspects of the adaptation were commendable. Notably, Iron Heart is widely regarded as one of the better screen adaptations of a Marvel comic character, particularly when compared to previous attempts. The source comic portrayal of Riri Williams as a narcissistic and somewhat unlikable character was retained and amplified on screen. In the comics, she’s depicted as a greedy, narcissistic criminal—hardly the typical hero. The series captured this essence, transforming her into an antihero or even a villain, aligning with her ambitious and selfish traits.
