Part 6/9:
One of the notable disappointments was the inclusion of Misto, a formidable Marvel villain, introduced in this series. Known for his potential, Misto could have been a major antagonist, but instead, he was squandered. His presence was limited and underdeveloped, and his role in giving Riri magical powers seemed rushed and unearned. The magic-infused suit Riri sports is never thoroughly tested or explained, making her sudden mastery of it feel unrealistic.
The fact that Misto's first appearance occurs in Iron Heart is perplexing, especially considering Marvel's pattern of debuting top-tier villains in more prominent properties like WandaVision or Multiverse of Madness. This underuse of a key villain further exemplifies the series’ overall lack of strategic planning.
