The storytelling in Obi-Wan was widely deemed laughable and riddled with plot holes. Scenes that should have been tense and meaningful often bordered on meme-worthy due to their contrived nature—Obi-Wan easily jumping fences, Stormtroopers inexplicably knocked unconscious, and other questionable writing choices. The supposed rematch with Darth Vader, which many had hoped would be a pivotal moment, ended up being a disappointment, further damaging the lore and character development.
This series became one of the many examples where Disney's Star Wars projects fell short, damaging the franchise's reputation and alienating long-time fans. The damage was so significant that many now view any talk of another season as potentially adding insult to injury rather than expanding a beloved story.
