Despite this, some missteps have been noticeable. The campaign's first trailer for Superman included a contentious scene involving the "Iron Fleet" that critics argued was poorly visualized. Gunn admitted that the scene was a promotional piece, created for a TV commercial using partial visual effects—an incomplete shot that he himself was not fully satisfied with. He explained that the scene was assembled from photographs and drone footage, which resulted in a somewhat goofy appearance, especially the superimposed face of Superman.
