Part 10/20:
Filming began in March 1976, with Tunisia standing in for the desert planet Tatooine. The shoot was chaos—rain in the desert, equipment failures, scorching heat, and a tight schedule. The crew faced delays, technical problems, and budget overruns, pushing production from a planned 28 days to over four months. Lucas himself experienced severe stress, even falling ill with hypertension. Nevertheless, filming shifted to Elstree Studios in England, where elaborate sets and models could be built in controlled environments.
