Paul Tassy from Forbes and others suggested that the influence of popular streamers played a significant role in shaping public perception and contributing to the game's poor sales. Tassy argued that the game’s negative impressions were, at least in part, driven by commentary from YouTubers and streamers who mocked certain aspects—particularly related to the game's perceived woke content and identity politics—as well as the overall tone.
