The move away from San Diego Comic-Con raises many questions. Fans have become accustomed to Marvel’s grand reveals, trailers, and star appearances. Without these, the excitement and momentum may wane, at least temporarily. Moreover, recent announcements made during last year’s convention — like the major phases and new villain plans — now seem ambitious in retrospect, given the current delays.
It's possible that other studios might follow suit, pulling back from promotional appearances during this tumultuous period. Marvel's absence could also be a sign of their cautious approach, prioritizing stability over spectacle until the production environment becomes more predictable.
