Chris Paul, born May 6, 1985, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is an NBA point guard known as "CP3" for his elite playmaking, defense, and leadership. He honed his skills at Wake Forest University (2003-05), earning ACC Rookie of the Year honors.
Drafted 4th overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, Paul led the team through Hurricane Katrina's aftermath. He won Rookie of the Year (2006), made his first All-Star team, and became a perennial All-NBA selection. Traded to the LA Clippers in 2011, he formed the "Lob City" era with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, reaching the playoffs multiple times but no deep runs.
