Andor distinguished itself from other Disney+ Star Wars projects through its grittier storytelling, lower reliance on CGI, and longer episode count—matching the scope of a typical Star Wars movie. Despite its unique qualities, the series struggled with viewership. It ended up earning the lowest ratings of any Disney Star Wars series, primarily because audiences were not tuning in as hoped. Although the show's overall watch time eventually caught up with other series like Obi-Wan Kenobi and The Book of Boba Fett, this was not enough to salvage its reputation or justify its enormous expense.
