Divergence Between Past and Present Films
The first Into the Spider-Verse film was widely loved, though some critics, including the author of this analysis, found it personally only "fine." The sequel, however, appears to be more than just a continuation of the story; it looks like a vehicle for pushing agendas. As with many franchises, there's concern that what starts as entertainment can evolve into propaganda, subtly influencing audiences—especially young viewers—toward specific ideological viewpoints.
