Part 7/10:
Looking at the numbers reveals a bleak picture. Fury of the Gods saw a drop from its opening, bringing in only about $1.69 million on Monday and roughly $2.4 million on Tuesday. These figures are astonishingly low and represent a steep decline from the original Shazam!’s performance, which enjoyed better weekday numbers.
This trend continued into Wednesday, where the film’s take nearly halved again, solidifying its status as a complete flop. The low performance has already earned it a reputation as another DC film that will, most likely, lose money for Warner Brothers, following Black Adam. This trajectory suggests that revivals of the franchise under the current regime are not only unlikely but perhaps unfeasible.
