This inversion isn’t limited to characters but extends into visual and thematic elements—imagine a “perfect” costume that is only perfect when worn by a woman, or social pressures that turn stereotypes on their heads. When these narratives become normalized—through social pressures and new taboos—it creates a culture where opposing stereotypes is no longer countercultural but becomes the new norm.
