Next, the searing process begins. Utilizing a pressure cooker, set it to the sautéing mode and add a touch of olive oil before introducing the seasoned pot roast. Sear each side for approximately three minutes until beautifully browned, then set the meat aside.
Building Flavorful Layers
With the pot roast removed, it's time to enhance the flavor base. Into the cooker, add onions, garlic, and jalapeños, followed by a tablespoon each of tomato paste and all-purpose flour. Allow the flour to sauté for about a minute before integrating beef broth back into the pot.
