As a suggestion for the Explore tab, I would rather see the newly created post, than the trending at first glance. This are the posts that need our love and the ones that posted are usually online to interact. To drop a comment in the first hour is gold for any post.
Also with some votes, it will trigger the Hive folks with their automated curation hunt to vote on them. Of course, first it needs a read than a comment/vote.
This will improve a lot the user experience for new users as they have a higher chance to get noticed.
