Chris Paul, born May 6, 1985, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is an NBA point guard known as "CP3" for his elite playmaking, defense, and leadership. He honed his skills at Wake Forest University (2003-05), earning ACC Rookie of the Year honors.

Drafted 4th overall by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, Paul led the team through Hurricane Katrina's aftermath. He won Rookie of the Year (2006), made his first All-Star team, and became a perennial All-NBA selection. Traded to the LA Clippers in 2011, he formed the "Lob City" era with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, reaching the playoffs multiple times but no deep runs. In 2017, he joined the Houston Rockets alongside James Harden, pushing them to the Western Conference Finals.

Paul moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019, then Phoenix Suns in 2020, where he revitalized the team to the 2021 NBA Finals—their first since 2008—earning Finals MVP buzz. With the Suns, he set records like most playoff assists. Injuries limited later success, including a 2-0 series lead loss in 2022 playoffs.

In 2023, traded to the Golden State Warriors, then Washington Wizards in 2024, and currently with the Spurs (as of 2025). Career stats: 17.5 PPG, 9.4 APG, 12 All-Star nods, 11 All-NBA, 9 All-Defensive. Off-court, he's a philanthropist via CP3 Foundation and NBA Players Association president.
