Thinking and wondering out loud.
In my post https://ecency.com/hive-123046/@atma.love/intentional-community-living-space-available re. creating a community governed (with Matrix-8 Solution system) DAO for an "Intentional Living Community Village" (which would be a Matrix-8 Cause group) where i live, i spoke of empty properties near me.
i have now tracked down owners of 2 of the empty properties. There are many more.
My thoughts are to buy at least two (i can afford this if prices are right), tokenise them as NFT's, then gift them to the DAO so the DAO owns them, not me. Using the Matrix-8 consensus mechanism, the Cause Group members (not necessarily living here) would likely reward me with community coins/tokens.
Now, with the DAO actually owning property by way to them.being tokenised, and these NFT's having real value as they are tokenised plots of land (with hoises and barns for refurbishment - and quite large plots which could have 2 or 3 other small accommodation units built on them), the price of the coin should at least equal that if those assets.
Incoming residents could then donate fiat cash which DAO can then use to purchase materials for refurbishment and community infrastructure, and by consensus would be awarded some community coins, and right to live in an accommodation unit.
Those with no funds could also come, with work on renovations, garden and other projects which could bring in more fiat or crypto, would also be rewarded in community coins for the benefits they bring to the community.
They key is the #communitygovernamce system.
Everyone's a winner i think.

I think you are putting too much emphasis on to the DAO. A DAO is a great tool to manage a large decentralized community.
What you are trying to create is a small centralized, localized community.
You may need a DAO sometime in the future but currently it is overkill.
There are many solutions you can look at for example the first and best DAO is being used by Decred. The DAO Decred uses has been separately developed and can be used independed of Decred.
However for a centralized small community paper contracts are much easier to maintain then a DAO. There are going to be more alternatives in the future and DAOs will get better and easier to use. For now I would concentrate on other stuff if I was you.
You should in my opinion start with defining your community. There are great blueprints to be found at IC:

For example is your community going to be based on Socialism or Capitalism?

I am little more curious why there are so many empty properties there? Did the owners move to cities? Urbanization is centralizing the world.
Looking from the outside, these houses are in good condition (habitable). They should be renovated before they collapse. I currently live in a village in Hungary, and the roof of the neighbor house (and some others) are collapsed. And some of the houses are in even worse condition.
One question... is it allowed for EU foreigners to buy land in Bulgaria?
Yes, and it is quite easy. It took me four days from first view to owning my property.
I asked more out of curiosity, I can't see currently any way to move to Bulgaria. However investing in DAO testing Matrix-8 solution might be another thing if designed well. Fingers crossed!
This helped me realise the number of members of the (eventually DAO or similar) Rising in Love community will be far more than just the residents. There will likely be quite a lot of people interested in the project, just to help it (and be rewarded in the token), potentially for holiday/retreat visits or volunteer stays. and also to invest in a project doing good (growing organic food, testing Matrix-8, etc.) with potentially good ROI (especially in KLU's).

very interesting idea even it´s a little bit complex.
i'm curious to see if the considerations will turn into a real project. in any case, i wish you a lot of success and it's certainly worth a try. in germany we have a saying: nothing ventured, nothing gained.

WOW glad I stumbled through this cause you used the #thoughtfuldailypost tag. So this is something I have been considering a ton with the thoughts of why there isn't like a coin that is also managing assets with rental income or having a altcoin become the record agency to onboard marketing and help promote artists and we all grow through the growth of artist/property values and whatever.
All it takes is the right initiatives catering to the right individuals and this is a wonderful idea. Please tag me or let me know if you form a discord group for this as I'm always down to learn more and can provide ideas and possibly be an investor as well.
Understanding price of property, rental income in area, and past credentials I think helps things like this get investors and people onboard.
