"What is it like to live in Hyperinflation" / "Cómo es vivir en hiperinflación" (ENG/ESP)

in LeoFinance5 years ago

Hyperinflation came to Venezuela more than 10 years ago, bought a house and stayed to live, it is the cruel reality of Venezuelans, living in an unsustainable economy, trying to survive with an almost invisible salary nowadays, and the truth is that nobody was left out of it.

I have heard many times that the most affected are the low income people, but it is something totally far from reality, many companies over the years have been forced to close, leaving unemployment and losses in the millions, this term does not only exist in Venezuela, inflation occurs in many areas and not only monetary, so we can not think that only we live in this condition, except for the fact that many years ago life in Venezuela was practically a gift, compared to the hell that many live today.

What is the most difficult thing about living in hyperinflation?

I think the hardest part of all of this is trying to adapt, which is almost impossible, just the simple fact of not being able to plan your essential expenses for the month, and it becomes an even bigger horror story when unforeseen events come up in the middle of the road.

How have I endured Hyperinflation?

¿Cómo he soportado la Hiperinflación?

If there is something Venezuelans have, it is willpower, in spite of how bad it is seen in many countries. Venezuelans are strong-willed, adapting to almost any situation. For my part, I have had to work three jobs, two formal and one informal, and I dare say that the informal one is always the one that generates more income.

Whose fault is it?

¿De quien es la culpa?

Many factors influence this, but the main cause of this gigantic inflationary point is the daily creation of inorganic currency, since the value of the local currency depreciates more and more as worthless money is granted as aid systems.

Currently I have seen many ways in which Venezuelans generate extra income, except for those who receive remittances from relatives abroad, just by entering the Facebook MarketPlace, you will find advertisements that encourage you to generate income from home, ironic that I never came across publications referring to Hive or Leo.

I believe that if I had arrived here a long time ago, I would not have wasted so much money, since I would have easily used this platform as a banking entity, but the lack of knowledge and sometimes the fear of trying new and better things keep Venezuelans away from a better situation than the one we live in.

The scary thing is the dollar is likely to experience super mega hyperinflation like that of Venezuela and other countries but rather over night and out of nowhere and they will likely blame Russia or whoever. People should buy things or invest into cryptocurrencies, land, gold, other things, as soon as possible because the dollar is not safe and the dollar is losing value and the economic bubble is popping.

Best of luck for your LEO and HIVE journey ahead. There are quite a few Venezuelans already around here that will be able to encourage you along the way.

Thank you very much my friend

I'm glad you found your way here. In Nigeria, we're experiencing our own version of inflation. It is not as wild as what is happening in your country, but I totally understand how difficult it can be to survive in a country that is run by retards with no idea.

Leo community is a welcoming place that I'm sure you will enjoy.

I really feel very happy. The reception from everyone has been great, I hope I can repay that soon, greetings my friend.
